Colette Kulig: Vermont Photographer Capturing Moments & People

Colette Kulig Photography

How did you start your business, and what was your inspiration?

I started my business right in photography school! We had to make our own business cards, and html website. The inspiration is always evolving, but the core of it is capturing people.

What's your favorite part about what you do and why?

I love working with people; Hearing their stories helps me to tell and show their stories. Frames of love: subtle or obvious, polished headshots or reflective portraits, I emerge myself in their worlds.

Describe a recent project, client success story, or achievement that you're especially proud of.

I am always touched when I hear from my clients directly after sending their photos. Weddings are always emotional; I have such an intimate connection with each photo and knowing they are appreciated leaves me with pride and gratitude.

What should potential clients know before hiring someone in your field?

We are all so different! Two main things it comes down to are: portfolio (the work, the style) and the personality of the photographer. Don't be afraid to put in some research in getting to know someone, or asking to see more work; It's a hard thing to "buy and sell" - a product you have never seen or know what it will be.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about your business, your process, or how people can work with you?

I approach every single photo shoot as a blank slate and as a team effort; Leaving room for your voice and my creative challenge.
